Me and My Passion

Yes, Me and my Passion grew up together in a small industrial town called Rourkela in Orissa. I was fortunate that my father and few of his friends initiated a fine arts school close to my house. My father was the secretary of the school and no doubt, I was one of the first few students they enrolled for the school. Teachers of this school were people who worked in the Steel Plant and had passion towards fine arts. They used to spend their spare time in nurturing their own skill and training people like me who wanted to learn this skill.

Going to this school was so fun that I never missed any of these classes. In this school started learning from drawing a line to painting on canvas. This interest in art and painting grew up with me and became my passion. To support this passion I got many awards and even got a Govt. Of India scholarship. All those years when I was with my parents and had no reason to run around in search of a job, I could spend a lot of quality time nurturing this passion. I had artist friends and we created an artist group (Creative Artist's Group) to exhibit our work and share our knowledge. As expected, I too joined this school as teacher soon after my graduation.

Days passed and it was time for me to take a hard decision, "Whether I wanted to be a CA (Chartered Accountant) or a painter. The decision was clear, had no option than leaving my passion at Rourkela, and moving on to become a CA.

Years passed I cleared my CA, started growing up on the organisational hierarchy. I added  new management skills to keep myself ahead in this race for survival. With all these developments around me my passion remained on the walls of my Rourkela home as a mute neglected spectator of my creative past and did not get a chance to grow.

Thanks to year 2010 which heled me to do something different. I decided to nurture again this passion of mine. Dusted my paintings, took their photographs and initiated my On line Gallery which is now up and live. Thanks to my friends and power of internet, my friends around the world are now able to view this gallery. This gallery is my window to the world which is helping my passion to grow again, hope people will peep through this window to see what I am creating and will leave an encouraging message to keep this passion Growing… Growing …. Growing
